My good friend Lisa is a HUGE Elton John fan. We met through another person who knew I made puppets and she wanted an Elton John puppet. After discussion the puppet was made.





As time progressed, discussion of a "Lisa Meets Elton" video happened and Lisa wrote, Lin directed, I puppeteered, and Tim edited this video which we submitted to Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Celebrity Hookups:

Time passed and nothing happened, so that Lisa could e-mail links to other shows, in 2008 we shot this shorter video where the Elton puppet interviews her and there is no direct mention to anybody in particular:

Just, if you know, or know someone who knows, how to get Lisa a chance to meet Elton John: PLEASE DO IT! She's such a fan and admirer of his it would be awesome!

I never let her see the puppet being made or during its construction. The day she came to see the puppet for the first time I had cued up the DVD of The Muppet Show, grabbed my Miss Piggy puppet (by Fisher Price I think) and my little puppet stage. She sat down, I hit play, pulled on the puppets quickly and let them perform "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart."

Then, I sent the puppet home with her. The puppet now has his own room in her 5x10' collection room (some folks call a 'fan girl room') which is pretty neat.
